Rising World Academy School began out of a need seen by the founder, Vivian Childs, during a return visit to Ghana in 2012. She saw the need for greater access to education and healthcare in the areas she visited. Using the funds she had taken as “spending money,” she completed all the government requirement forms to develop the non-profit government organization (NGO)-Education and Health for Africa. She was able to use the remaining funds to build and erect a four classroom wooden structure school named the Rising World Academy School, which aims to educate K-12 students while also encouraging them to impact their communities.
As a result of erecting this new opportunity for education in Ghana, through growth we foresee the need for a new school building in order to further increase access to a quality education to more children in the surrounding communities.
