My name is Vivian Childs, the founder of Education and Health for Africa, Inc. (EHFA). EHFA is a non-profit organization located in Durham, North Carolina, USA. I would like to personally thank you for taking the time and visiting EFHA’s website, helping to provide better education and health services to those in need.
I traveled to Ghana with my children. While there one of my sons got sick. I knew I needed to seek a doctor but the lack of health care facilities made it difficult to find one. The dilemma of taking him to a medical facility for assistance, made me realize the lack of availability of health facilities and assistance. The level of deprivations in many African countries goes beyond the lack of schools and basic amenities. Many villages are located over twenty kilometers from a healthcare facility, yet diseases like malaria, diarrhea, hypertension and diabetes are very prevalent but often wrongly diagnosed by fraudulent healers and doctors and in some cases linked to death.
Education is the greatest solution that unlock hidden skills, gifts, talents, empowerment in all as well as an investment for the future. The core foundation of what people become in life are based on EDUCATION AND HEALTH. It was through education that a poor girl like me from Ghana was blessed with the opportunity with a full scholarship to further my education abroad. I can proudly say today that I hold a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Public Administration.
EHFA will help play an important role in supporting and providing Africa with much needed schools, medical assistances and medical facilities. Join us and help in the fight for EDUCATION AND HEALTH for Africa by providing any form of assistance. Education and Health for Africa, Inc. would love to work with individuals that will impact communities and environments.
